The Association recommends the following sample letter be used as your retirement
notice to the City.

This letter is to inform you of my intention to retire from the Brampton Fire &
Emergency Services as of —INSERT YOUR RETIREMENT DATE– ** My first day of retirement will be **INSERT the FIRST DAY OF RETIREMENT DATE HERE.**
Notwithstanding the above statement, should I suffer an injury, work-related or otherwise, become ill or for any other unforeseen reason decide not to retire on the date stated above, I reserve the right to withdraw this letter up to and including my final day of employment with the Corporation of the City of Brampton.
